Radiology Procedures

Modifiers 52, 73, and 74 do not apply to radiology services except in the description below.

When a radiology procedure is reduced, report a code to the extent of the procedure performed. If there is no code available to show what was done, report the intended code with modifier 52. Note, this instruction is not used for CPT endoscopy code usage. Report the procedure to the extent it was performed in this case.
